Intreprinderea de accesorii pentru masini unelte Blaj a luat fiinta in 1972, urmand ca in 1974 sa intre in functiune prima capacitate de productie, profilata pe executia de accesorii si componente de schimb pentru masini-unelte, executia de bunuri de larg consum si reparatii capitale pentru masini-unelte. Dupa 1990, compania isi reorienteaza productia spre cerintele economiei de piata, introducand in executie pe langa produsele traditionale, alte produse la cererea clientilor, cum sunt: elementele de ghidare liniara, menghine, componente pentru masinile de ambalat, componente masini-unelte pentru prelucrarea metalului, componente pentru masinile de injectat mase plastice, componente pentru masinile din industria hartiei, precum si elemente pentru aparatura de masura si control. In 1994, compania incepe colaborarea cu firma germana Deutsche Star GmbH Rexroth, ulterior Rexroth-Bosch GROUP, pentru fabricarea elementelor de tehnica liniara.
