Its product candidate, LB1148, is a Phase III-ready protease inhibitor which is developed to reduce abdominal adhesions and help restore bowel function following surgery. It is engaged in developing oral product candidates to treat conditions driven by protease (intestinal digestive enzymes) escaping the intestines, including surgical problems and inflammatory conditions. Its LB1148 is an oral formulation of a serine protease inhibitor designed to neutralize the activity of potent digestive proteases released from the gut during surgery.
