Ampio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (www.ampiopharma.com) is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and advancement of immunology-based therapies for prevalent inflammatory conditions. The Company's lead product candidate is Ampion, which contains a blood-derived cyclized peptide and small molecules that target multiple pathways in the innate immune response characteristic of inflammatory disease. Ampion is in development as an intra-articular injection treatment for severe osteoarthritis of the knee (OAK), an intravenous (IV) treatment for COVID-19 patients, and an inhaled treatment for COVID-19 induced respiratory distress. The Company is in the process of advancing clinical trials of Ampion in the United States. Ampion targets the cellular pathways in the innate immune response correlated with pain, inflammation, and joint damage in osteoarthritis.
