BrightSpire Capital, Inc. (www.brightspire.com) formerly Colony Credit Real Estate, Inc., is a commercial real estate (CRE) credit real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is focused on originating, acquiring, financing and managing a diversified portfolio of CRE debt and net lease real estate investments in the United States. Its diversified portfolio consists of senior mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, CRE debt securities and net leased properties. The Company operates through four segments: senior and mezzanine loans and preferred equity, CRE debt securities, net leased real estate and corporate. Its senior and mezzanine loans and preferred equity consists of senior mortgage loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity interests, some of which have equity participation interests. Its CRE Debt Securities investments consists of bonds comprising certain tranches of CRE securitization pools, such as CMBS.
