Burgenland Holding AG

Burgenland Holding AG (http://www.buho.at/) is an Austria-based investment holding for two energy companies and their subsidiaries. The Company holds a 49% stake in both Burgenlaendische Elektrizitaetswirtschafts-AG (BEWAG) and BEGAS-Energie AG. BEWAG is a provider of renewable energy, particularly wind power, in the Burgenland region of Austria. BEGAS operates the natural gas pipeline network in the Burgenland region, while its subsidiaries, BEGAS Energievertrieb GmbH & Co KG and BKB Biomassekraftwerk Betriebs GbmH & Co KG, are engaged in the natural gas trading and the provision of biomass energy, respectively. As of September 30, 2011, the Company’s majority shareholder was EVN AG, with 73.63% of its interest.
