Monarca Minerals Inc. (http://www.monarcaminerals.com/) is a Canada-based mineral exploration company. The Company focuses on the acquisition and development of silver properties in Mexico. The Company presently holds interests in three mineral properties, including Tejamen, San Lucas and San Jose. The Company’s Tejamen property is located approximately 130-kilometre (km) northwest of Durango, the capital of the State of Durango, consists of over 23 mineral concessions covering approximately 1,685 hectares. The San Lucas property is located approximately 86 km north of the city of Durango and consists of approximately 8 mineral concessions covering over 79.6 hectares. San Lucas consists of a series of mineralized shear zones in volcanic and sedimentary rocks. The San Jose Property is located in Chihuahua, Mexico near the United States of America border, approximately 125 km west of El Paso, Texas. The San Jose property has the polymetallic mineralization associated with skarn, gossan and altered intrusive rocks.
