Bassett Furniture Industries (www.bassettfurniture.com) Incorporated is a retailer, manufacturer, and marketer of home furnishings. The Company operates through three segments: Wholesale, Retail-Company-owned stores and Logistical services. The wholesale segment is involved principally in the design, manufacture, sourcing, sale, and distribution of furniture products to a network of Bassett stores (Company-owned and licensee-owned retail stores) and independent furniture retailers. It also includes holdings of short-term investments and retail real estate previously leased as licensee stores. The retail segment consists of Company-owned stores. The logistical services operate through its subsidiary, Zenith Freight Lines, LLC, which provides shipping and warehousing services. Its products are sold through a network of Company-owned and licensee-owned branded stores under the Bassett Home Furnishings (BHF) name.
