Advanced Emissions Solutions, Inc. (https://www.ada-cs.com/Home/default.aspx) is engaged in the sale of consumable air and water treatment options, including activated carbon (AC) and chemical technologies. The Company’s segments include Refined Coal (RC) and Advanced Purification Technologies (APT). The RC segment consists of equity ownership in Tinuum Group, LLC and Tinuum Services, LLC. Tinuum Group, LLC provides reduction of mercury and nitrogen oxide emissions at select coal-fired power generators. Tinuum Services, LLC operates and maintains the RC facilities under operating and maintenance agreements with Tinuum Group and owners or lessees of the RC facilities. The APT segment operates through a wholly-owned subsidiary, Carbon Solutions. The Company sells consumable products that utilize AC and chemical-based technologies to a range of customers, including coal-fired utilities, industrials, water treatment plants, and other diverse markets through the customer supply agreement defined below.
