The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose about 700 points, or about 2.1%. The S&P 500 climbed about 2.5% and the technology-focused Nasdaq Composite gained roughly 3%. The bounce came after the market fell for a fourth day on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and Dow falling deeper into correction territory and the Nasdaq Composite adding to its bear market losses.
