Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. (http://www.perma-fix.com/) is an environmental technology know-how company. The Company operates in three segments: Treatment segment, Services segment and Medical segment: Treatment segment includes nuclear, low-level radioactive, mixed waste, hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment, processing and disposal services through licensed and permitted treatment and storage facilities, such as Perma-Fix of Florida (PFF), Inc., Diversified Scientific Services (DSSI), Inc., Perma-Fix Northwest Richland (PFNWR), Inc. and Oak Ridge Environmental Waste Operations Center (EWOC). The Research & Development (R&D) activities identity's, develops and implements waste processing techniques for problematic waste streams. Service segment includes technical services and nuclear services. Medical segment, which is involved on a limited basis in the R&D of the Company’s medical isotope production technology, has not generated any revenue.
