EOG Resources (US.EOG) Tops Q1 Earnings Estimates - 06 mai 2022

EOG Resources came out with quarterly earnings of $4 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.69 per share. 

This compares to earnings of $1.62 per share a year ago. This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 8.40%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this oil and gas company would post earnings of $3.21 per share when it actually produced earnings of $3.09, delivering a surprise of -3.74%. 

EOG Resources, which belongs to the Zacks Oil and Gas - Exploration and Production - United States industry, posted revenues of $3.98 billion for the quarter ended March 2022, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 34.48%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $3.69 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters. 

EOG Resources shares have added about 40.5% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's decline of -9.8%.
