GameStop (US.GME) shares soar more than 10% as company plans stock split - 01 aprilie 2022

The company said in an 8-K SEC filing it plans to request stockholder approval at its upcoming annual shareholder meeting to increase the number of authorized Class A shares from 300 million to 1 billion in order to implement the split through a dividend. Shares of GameStop have been on a tear this month, up 35%, as enthusiastic retail investors stood by their meme favorite. The stock got a boost earlier this month when chairman Ryan Cohen bought an additional 100,000 shares, bringing the activist investor’s ownership to 11.9%.
