Senseonics Holdings, Inc. (https://www.senseonics.com/) is a medical technology company. The Company is focused on the development and commercialization of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system. Its Eversense and Eversense XL CGM systems are designed to measure glucose levels in people with diabetes via an under-the-skin sensor, a removable and rechargeable smart transmitter, and an application for real-time diabetes monitoring and management for a period of up to 90 and 180 days, as compared to seven to 14 days for non-implantable CGM systems. Its Eversense system consists of three primary components, such as a sensor, inserted subcutaneously under the skin by a healthcare provider; an external removable smart transmitter that receives, assesses and relays data from the sensor and provides vibratory alerts, and a mobile application that receives data from the transmitter and provides real-time glucose readings, alerts and other data on the user's mobile device.
