Newport Gold, Inc. (http://www.newportgold.com/) is an exploration stage company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral and energy properties. The Company is evaluating opportunities both in the mineral sector and otherwise. The Company is also focused on the discovery of gold, copper, silver, zinc, and lead deposits on its 100% owned property in the Greenwood Mining District in British Columbia, Canada. The Company’s mineral holdings consist of Burnt Basin property. The Company has an option agreement to acquire nine mineral claims consisting of approximately 47 units, each unit consisting of approximately 25 hectares. The Burnt Basin property is located approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Grand Forks, British Columbia, Canada. Its Manitou claim number 530691 covers approximately 63.36 hectares. The Company has not generated any revenues from its operations.
